C-375 – aqua offset varnish – water based

With varnishing we achieve high gloss and increase rub resistance. It is also suitable for the protection of printed packaging in the food industry, without direct contact.

This is a printing varnish based on stabilized water dispersion of acrylic resins. It is applied through the dampening rollers system in the offset machines, or by means of special varnishing devices or varnishing machines. Depending on the type of application, coat thickness can vary from 3-8 gr/m2. If necessary, it can be diluted with water. It dries very fast. Varnished surfaces are glossy, abrasion resistant and can be glued with various dispersion adhesives. It is also suitable for the protection of printed packaging in the food industry (non-direct food contact).
As it dries very fast, we recommended washing the machine thoroughly with water straight after the printing is finished. For easier cleaning, add any washing-up liquid.

Advise:
Varnish C-375 AQUA OFFSET VARNISH needs completely cover press surface. Consumption of varnish depends on roughness of the press surface. As a control method for the quality control we propose, that you spray varnished impression with C-301 INK REFRESHER.

C-378 – printing varnish – oil based

Transparent printing varnish with outstanding gloss for protection of stationery. It allows wet on wet processing as well as wet on dry. The newest binding agent structure, gives a large number of technical advantages which are combined in a final product.

  • Very good abrasion resistance
  • High pile security
  • Processing with or without water
  • Possibility of IR drying
  • Processing is possible both wet on wet, as well as wet on dry

It is used in offset print for printing matter protection. This varnish is extra transparent and glossy. It can be used as printing ink for varnishing particular parts of the imprint. When varnishing the whole surface, print without dampening rollers. Drying time depends on coat thickness: 1.5 g/m2 coat requires 15 minutes to half an hour, depending on paper or cardboard type. When varnishing coated paper, we recommend lower piling with moderate dusting. The best gloss, protection and abrasion resistance are achieved by varnishing dry imprints.

Advise:
C-378 PRINTING VARNISH needs completely cover press surface. Consumption of varnish depends (from 1 g/m2 to 1,6 g/m2) on roughness of the press surface.
As a control method for the quality control we propose the calculation of quantity of varnish coated surface coverage.

Example:
(Sheet oz. area size × no. sheets) × varnish consumption g/m2 = necessary quantity of varnish
Coated paper B2 135 g/m2: (0,35 m2 × 1.000) × 1,3 g/m2 = 455 g

C-379 – mat printing varnish – oil based
