Cinkarna Celje achieved stable business results in challenging market conditions

Unaudited Annual Report of Cinkarna Celje, d.d. for the Year 2025

The European chemical industry is facing structural contraction, excess production capacities, predominantly of Chinese origin, and consequently significant pricing pressures. At the same time, producers are confronted with high energy and raw material costs, alongside an unpredictable regulatory framework and equally uncertain geopolitical conditions. These challenges are clearly reflected in the titanium dioxide market, which remains Cinkarna Celje’s core product. In an already strongly cyclical business environment, all these factors further erode the competitiveness of Western manufacturers.

Despite these demanding market conditions, Cinkarna Celje operated steadily and profitably in 2025.

Based on unaudited data, the company generated sales revenues of EUR 198.8 millionNet profit reached EUR 19.5 million, representing 84,3% of the net profit achieved in 2024, when it reached EUR 23.1 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached EUR 36.1 million, representing 18.2% of sales revenue. In 2025, the key markets remained those within the EU, where sales increased by 1% compared to 2024.

In line with its defined development strategy and active risk management, Cinkarna Celje invested as much as EUR 19.5 million in 2025. Investments were directed towards improvements in technological processes, and the strengthening of long-term competitiveness. Special attention was devoted to managing spatial and environmental risks, in accordance with the long-term goals of sustainable development and the company's strategy.

Through prudent risk management, a focus on profitable markets, high-quality customers and long-term partnerships, as well as carefully considered development investments, Cinkarna Celje continues to demonstrate that even in a highly cyclical and pressure-intensive industry, it is possible to maintain stability and competitiveness.

The company remains committed to responsible development, sustainably oriented investments, active management of key risks and financial stability, with the aim of creating stable value for all stakeholders.
