Cinkarna Celje Proud of the Young Stars of ŽKK Cinkarna Celje

At the Celje - Center Gymnasium, Women's basketball club (ŽKK) Cinkarna Celje held a reception ahead of the 2025/26 season to honor players who achieved outstanding results with the Slovenian national teams this year. Nika Ocvirk, Nika Blagus, and Anja Močnik won a bronze medal in 3x3 basketball at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje, while Ota Požin, Julija Bukovec, and Ines Fritz became European runners-up with the Slovenian U16 team. Ota Požin was also selected for the tournament’s All-Star Five.

The players were congratulated by club president Borut Kop, Member of the Management Board and Technical Director of the club’s main sponsor Cinkarna Celje d.d., Mrs. Nikolaja Podgoršek Selič, Celje Deputy Mayor Samo Seničar, President of the Celje Sports Association Matej Polutnik, and President of the Student Council of Celje Nik Slemenšek.
