Cinkarna Celje Successfully Held Sessions of the Community Advisory Council in 2025

On Friday, 12 December 2025, Cinkarna Celje held a session of the Community Advisory Council, a newly established consultative body aimed at fostering even more constructive dialogue with the local community. The Community Advisory Council was established at the beginning of 2025, and its activities commenced in autumn 2025 with an introductory coordination meeting, during which the foundations for cooperation were laid. The primary purpose of establishing and operating the Community Advisory Council is to enable regular dialogue with key stakeholders from the City Municipality of Celje and the municipalities of Štore and Šentjur, with the goal of promoting coexistence between industry and local communities, mutual understanding, and the creation of added value through the identification of feasible solutions to improve the quality of life in the local environment.

The meeting took place in a very positive atmosphere. Members of the Council were familiarised with the company’s activities, plans, and sustainable development strategy. Cinkarna Celje transparently presented its sustainability measures, efforts to reduce environmental impacts, investments in the local community, and support for young people, as well as sports and socially responsible projects. Particular emphasis was also placed on activities carried out to date related to cooperation and communication with local communities.

The first session of the Community Advisory Council represents an important step towards an even more transparent dialogue with residents. This form of dialogue enables direct insight into the company’s operations and contributes to the sustainable development of the local environment. Members of the Council highlighted the company’s positive progress in the areas of sustainability, cooperation with the local community, and social responsibility.

In the future, the Community Advisory Council will continue to serve as a platform for regular and open dialogue, dedicated to strengthening cooperation and jointly seeking solutions for sustainable development. At the same time, it will ensure long-term and structured dialogue with local communities and further strengthen mutual trust and understanding.
